Hostacks VPN is a free VPN app for Android from Hostacks Ltd. It needs no account and shows no ads, and the website tracking tools named in this policy (Microsoft Clarity, Umami, Google Tag Manager) are not used in the app. We do not log the websites or apps you use, your DNS queries, the content of your traffic, when you connect or for how long, or how much data you use, and your device's IP address is not recorded. While you are connected, the VPN server holds your device's VPN public key and the private address it assigned, in memory only; they are removed when you disconnect, go idle, or the server restarts. To count how many different devices use the service each day, a server keeps a short fingerprint of each device key in memory until the end of the day (UTC), and only the daily total leaves the server. Our servers block known malware sites at the DNS level, with query logging switched off. The app can send crash reports (Sentry, EU region) and anonymous usage counts with a random install ID; both are optional, chosen on the app's privacy screen and changeable in Settings, store no IP address or identity, and are kept for at most 90 days.
